CHALKBERRY

CHALKBERRY is the raw blueprint of the Strawberry Collection, the very spark where the entire body of work began to take shape.

Before the stretched canvases, the layering, and the rich acrylic pigments, there was just the immediate urge to get the idea out of my head and into the world. Reaching for simple chalk, I sketched out the first iteration of the strawberry: imperfect, dusty, spontaneous, and unfiltered. It holds the initial heartbeat of what the collection grew to celebrate, maternal love, childhood nostalgia, and worth, captured in a medium that feels as temporary and playful as sidewalk drawings on a summer afternoon.

Unpolished and entirely honest, CHALKBERRY preserves the magic of the sketching phase, standing as an archival milestone in the lineage of the series.
