What's a "STRIPEBERRY"?

A signature element of my practice as a contemporary painter is the dialogue between raw emotional storytelling and disciplined graphic structures. Working out of my studio space serving both the Salt Lake City area in Utah and the Kansas City art community, I have long gravitated toward linear rhythm, stripes, cadence, and architectural balance on canvas.


When expanding The Strawberry Collection, I wanted to push the work into a bold pop-contemporary aesthetic without losing the emotional anchor: my mother, her Mexican heritage, and the strawberries that symbolized our dignity.

"STRIPEBERRY" marks the exact canvas where those two artistic languages converged.

This painting was the origin point for introducing geometric stripes into the collection. Pairing the tender, organic curves of fruit against clean linear bands generates a vibrant visual tension. The stripes do not merely serve as background; they anchor the subject, turning nostalgic family history into a sharp, modern statement of contemporary fine art.

At 39.5" × 55" (3' 3.5" × 4' 7"), "STRIPEBERRY" delivers high visual impact suitable for expansive residential or commercial interiors across Salt Lake City, Park City, or the Kansas City metro.
